What's a boat charter and bareboat contract?
Renting and chartering a boat are technically the same: you pay someone to use their boat. Practically, though, these two terms refer to different boating experiences. A bareboat charter, in its simplest form, arises when the Owner leases his or her vessel out to the Charterer for a fixed period of time. Once the Charterer takes possession of the vessel, the Charterer becomes entirely responsible for the vessel.
What additional services can I add to my experience?
Above the Seas Charters offers a wide range of additional services to compliment each charter. We offer watersports accessories such as Aquabanas, Jet Skis, Stand Up Paddle Boards, and Snorkel Equipment as well as services that include Catering, Drink Packages, Drone Footage, and DJ’s.

Is it safe to purchase through this website?
Yes. At Abovetheseacharters, we use SSL encryption that will keep sensitive information encrypted at all times. Payments aren’t processed internally, so they’re not stored in our platform’s database. We use stripe, PayPal, and other third-party payment processors that are well-known in the e-commerce industry.
Can I purchase a custom boat charter package?
Yes. But make sure to write down in detail what you want for your experience and let our crew know by calling our reservation agents +1(305) 753-5070
Is the experience private?
Considering that a captain is mandatory on all vessels and on yachts larger than 44′, a crew member is included. The experience remains completely private, only you, the Charterer, and your guests will be on the boat or yacht. Above the Sea does not share charters. Our experiences are designed to keep our crew tucked away so guests can enjoy their time.
How much does it cost to rent a boat in Miami?
The cost of renting a boat in Miami ranges from $299.00 to $2500.00. It all depends on the size of the vessel and the duration of the charter.
What happens if there is bad weather on the day of the charter?
Unfortunately, you, the customer, nor we have control of Mother Nature, so we will reschedule for any unforeseen circumstances, such as thunderstorms, hurricanes, tornados alerts, high tide alerts that render the charter unsafe. Rain is not a factor that deems a charter unsafe. The customer will have a chance to reschedule their reservation to another available time and will have up to 1 year to do so. If you are traveling from another country or reside out of state, we will refund the total amount paid. For weather purposes, we check our weather software, and we will determine with a couple hours before the reservation to be as accurate as possible if it’s safe to go out and if the rain will affect our area. Please stay in contact with our staff members, and do not assume the rental will not go on if it’s raining at that time.
What can I bring to the charter?
